Mr. Akuku Hillary is a young brilliant man who has MBA degree, Bachelor of Commerce, ACCA qualification. He is a member of accounting professional body of ACCA and CPA(U).
Mr. Akuku has a career in audit that spans over 9 years during in which period he audited a diverse range of companies/organizations in the private and public sectors as well as donor funded organizations. He gained auditing and accounting experience through dealing with clients in commerce, finance, trade, government and non-governmental organizations. He is well experienced in coordinating work and effectively liaising with stakeholders, as well as building productive relationships with clients.
Mr. Akuku has developed technical and business competences through exposure to audit assignments in various industries and through my professional studies. He developed management and leadership skills by leading audit teams and ensuring proper co-ordination is achieved between the clients and the audit team. This was built through being an audit senior and supervisor at Ernst & Young. He also worked at AHT certified public accountants as a senior audit manager and in PKF.
He also reviewed audit work to ensure that established audit standards and International Standards on Auditing are complied with. He trained audit staff on the understanding and application of International Standards on Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards and presented a paper on clarity ISAs (International standards on Auditing) at the ICPAU seminar for practicing auditors.
He is a member of the committee that reviews financial statements for companies for ICPAU for them to be awarded the prestigious FIRE Awards.
